In Vedic Medication System, Jal Chikitsa was used for cleansing the contaminated or infected substances flowing in the body.

Just as the calculation of the Yoga Nakshatra of Maha Kumbh etc. was for the medicinal water flowing in the rivers, its main purpose was to eliminate the contaminated substances in the human body and to build immunity. Just as vaccination is done in modern times, in the same way a well-planned capacity was to be built in the human body for the intake of water.
